Each class maps to a low/high hourly charter rate pulled from FY26 market data across FAA Part 135 operators. For example: midsize jets $4,500–$5,500/hr; ultra-long-range $10,500–$13,000/hr.

Distance band converts to block flight hours using class-typical cruise speeds. One-way adds a 1.25× repositioning factor; round-trip doubles block time. The low/high band is your planning range.

Five questions about the estimate
How accurate is the calculator?
The calculator produces a planning estimate built from indicative hourly rates by cabin class multiplied by an estimated block time for the selected distance band.
It is accurate enough to set budget expectations before you request live quotes — usually within ~15–25% of the final operator price on a typical day. It is not a firm quote, and it cannot see live aircraft availability or today's repositioning cost.
Why do live quotes differ from the estimate?
Live quotes reflect real-time factors the calculator cannot see: which Part 135 aircraft are actually available on your date, how far each one must reposition to reach your origin, seasonal and event-driven demand, FBO and ramp fees, international handling, crew duty limits, and overnight costs.
The calculator uses average indicative rates; live quotes show what is actually bookable.
Does the estimate include fees?
Partially. One-way estimates include an indicative 1.25× repositioning factor. Round-trip estimates assume the aircraft stays with you, so no repositioning is added.
Not included: landing fees, federal segment taxes, international handling, customs, de-icing, catering, phone/Wi-Fi, and crew overnights. Live quotes itemize every line item before you commit.
Can I save my estimate?
Yes. When you submit the convert-to-quotes form, the calculator's class, distance, passenger count, and trip type are attached to your request. A coordinator returns three live operator quotes using those exact parameters — no need to re-enter them.
